Our Story
Savory St. owner, Stacy Street, brings many years of catering and customer service experience to every event, having served Greensboro and the surrounding area for over 15 years.
In 2002, after preparing the food for a bridal shower she was hosting, Stacy was approached by several guests who asked if she catered. One guest explained that there was a strong need in the Greensboro area for a caterer willing to provide high quality, creative cuisine for smaller, more intimate functions. This was the perfect fit for Stacy, who believes in being hands-on in all aspects of the events that Savory St. caters. All dishes served by Savory St. are made fresh for your event in our kitchen. All of our famous desserts are created and baked from scratch by Stacy.
In 2008, Savory St. found a new home in the landmark Weir-Jordan House in downtown Greensboro. The antebellum Weir-Jordan House (est. 1846) seemed the perfect match, both in style and size, for Savory St.
Whether at the Weir-Jordan House, your home or office, or at the venue of your choice, Savory St. will provide you with personal attention along with a menu designed to reflect the style and personality of your event. With our commitment to quality cuisine and attention to detail, Savory St. is your destination for gatherings and events that your guests will remember for years to come.

On the menu ...
Savory St. purchases fresh ingredients and

selections to give you just a taste of the delectable possibilities available. Please do not hesitate to
ask if there is a dish you would like to include

The Weir-Jordan House
The Weir-Jordan House (c. 1846) has a rich history in the city of Greensboro. This antebellum home is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only nine surviving structures
built before 1880 in Greensboro. The original owner, Dr. David Weir, was President of
the Edgeworth Female Academy (now Greensboro College) and a founding member of the first insurance & trust company in the city of Greensboro. In 1890 the house was sold to
John F. Jordan, a businessman in tobacco who served as a Guilford County sheriff, a Greensboro commissioner, and Chamber of Commerce director. The house was purchased by the Greensboro Woman’s Club in 1921 with the purpose of using the home as a clubhouse. In 1998, the Weir-Jordan House was made available to the public as a banquet and event center.
In 2008, the Weir-Jordan House became the home of Savory St. catering. Conveniently located in downtown Greensboro, a mere 100 yards from First National Bank Field, Savory St.
and the Weir-Jordan House are available for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners,
business meetings, and private parties. In addition, the Weir-Jordan House provides a home
to a variety civic and non-profit groups.
Please visit Savory St. at the Weir-Jordan House today. With our casual elegance
and Southern sense of style, we will provide an experience
to be remembered by you & your guests.
